ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Software Engineer to develop TT&C and Satellite Mission Management and Scheduling software in support of our mission critical customers and the OS/COMET COTS software product.
This position is located in Melbourne, FL. Flexible for telework - preferably local to work location.
Responsibilities:
Research, design, and development of computer software systems, including requirement analysis, design, development, and test of software products.
Requires the application of the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis..
Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Utilizes software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and ability to handle routine tasks. Solves problems of moderate scope/complexity.
BS/BA with minimum of 5 years of experience; MS/MA with 3 years of experience; 0 years with PhD.
Experience designing and developing software utilizing Java/C/C++.
Software development methodologies and life cycles.
Experience with Linux, preferably RHEL 8.x/9.x.
Familiarity with the Agile Product Development Cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Amazon Web Services cloud architecture and tools associated with cloud development and security.
Active involvement in the peer-review process, to include providing thorough code reviews and receiving critical feedback.
Client-side development using HTML5, JavaScript, Python, and CSS3.
Experience with Server-side development through REST
Designing and developing software for Satellite Mission Management or TT&C applications
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
