It was one-way traffic as Jake Paul finished Mike Perry in round six, securing a dominant win ahead of his bout against Mike Tyson in November.
Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) picked up three knockdowns in the fight before the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Perry (0-2) was aggressive throughout but was defensively vulnerable and Paul took advantage. Paul first put Perry down with a big left hand in the opening minute of the fight and it didn't get much better from there for Perry.
In round two Paul picked up another knockdown, this time with the right hand, but to Perry's credit he showed heart to push past the knockdowns and fight on after clearly being shaken. Paul slowed the pace slightly in the middle rounds but in round six Paul caught Perry again, putting him to the canvas for the final time and ultimately ending the fight.
"Mike Perry you're the toughest son of a b---h I've ever seen in my life," Logan Paul, Jake's brother, said in the ring afterwards.
A bomb of a left hook sent Perry backwards into the ropes and Paul pounced, landing a barrage of shots that finally put Perry into the canvas. He got up for a third time, but the referee had seen enough and called a stop to the bout.
Paul now turns to the highly anticipated matchup against Mike Tyson this November, which he confirmed is up next for him.
"100% it's happening ... Mike Tyson is in training," Paul said after the fight.
Paul and Tyson were originally supposed to square off this weekend, but an injury to Tyson delayed his training, forcing the fight to be postponed. The bout will now take place on Nov. 15, still at AT&T Stadium and still streaming free on Netflix.
“Mike, I love you, but this is my sport now,’’ Paul said in the ring. “You’re a legend. You’re one of the two most famous boxers to ever live. You and Muhammad Ali. It’s an honor to get in the ring with you. I’m so, so honored, you’re a legend. But I’m going to take your throne, brother.”
Amanda Serrano picked up a win in Saturday's co-main event, ahead of her rematch against Katie Taylor in the co-main event of Tyson vs. Paul. Serrano blasted out Stevie Morgan in two rounds for her first knockout win in three years, in just her second ever fight above 135 pounds.
Her rematch against Taylor is the most anticipated fight in women's boxing, after Taylor won a split decision in a thrilling first fight two years ago at Madison Square Garden. November's fight will be for Taylor's undisputed junior welterweight titles.

Paul looked comfortable that last round, but not as active as he had been in prior rounds. Paul cracks Perry with a left hand that sends him into the ropes, Paul piles on the pressure and sends Perry down for the third time! Perry gets up but the referee takes a look at him and calls the fight. Paul stops Perry in round six to improve to 10-1!

Doctors taking a look at the cuts on Perry before the round starts. Perry's been rocked at least once in every round of the fight it seems like. Paul focusing on the jab and finding success midway through the round. Paul turns it on in the final minute and lands a couple strong shots, hardly an output from Perry this round.

It's been a sloppy fight so far, but it seems like that's what Perry wants. Paul will do well to keep the distance, Perry was landing well on the inside last round. Paul shakes Perry with a big shot midway through the round and Perry falls back into the ropes. Perry recovers although he looks shaken and is bleeding profusely. Final thirty seconds and Paul lands a couple bombs but again Perry takes them. Strong round for Paul, hurting Perry more than once.

Paul boxing and moving, but still able to land a bomb as he's proven. To Perry's credit he's survived the knockdowns and keeps pressuring. Paul the much bigger man in the ring, and it's helping him when things get messy on the inside. Good bounce back for Perry who landed some big punches on Paul, although Paul tagged him up plenty. Both fighters bleeding now.

Paul moving well, fighting off the back foot while Perry walks towards him. Another knockdown inside a minute! Paul lands a big right hand and sends Perry down for the second time in two rounds. Perry is back up and fighting but doesn't look great; struggling to protect himself so far. Perry standing in the center of the ring flat footed so far, but landing the occasional big shot. Another 10-8 round for Paul.

Amanda Serrano defeated Stevie Morgan in dominant fashion, stopping her in the second round of Saturday's co-main event. Serrano improved to 47-2-1 with 31 wins by knockout, after not having won a fight by knockout since 2021.
It was just Serrano's second ever fight above 135 pounds, but that didn't matter as she battered Morgan for two rounds before the referee stepped in and stopped the bout. From the opening bell Serrano jumped on Morgan, unloading combinations and connecting at a high rate. That continued into round two until the stoppage, which seemed inevitable with the pressure Serrano was applying.
Morgan was not on Serrano's level and by all accounts this was a stay-fresh bout ahead of Serrano's rematch against Katie Taylor in November on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul. Taylor won the first fight by split decision and the rematch will be for Taylor's undisputed 140-pound titles.

Great opening round for Serrano, a stoppage looks likely in this one. It didn't take long, midway through the round with the pressure piling on the referee steps in and stops the fight! Serrano wins by second round technical knockout. Morgan might've been able to last a bit longer, but nothing was changing in that one. Serrano dominant from the first second.

Serrano active to start the fight, unloading combinations on Morgan. Serrano is levels above Morgan and showing it in round one. Serrano pushing Morgan back and landing punches in bunches, Morgan already bleeding.
Lucas Bahdi upsets "H2O" Sylve with KO of the year candidate
Lucas Bahdi upset Ashton "H2O" Sylve with a brutal sixth round knockout, handing Sylve the first loss of his career after losing every round leading up to the finish.
Sylve was in full control of the fight, likely having won every round when out of nowhere Bahdi caught Sylve with his guard down, landing two right hands that stunned him before putting him down with a vicious left hook.
Sylve looked stellar up until the knockout. He controlled the pace and the distance of the fight, landing almost at will while avoiding most of Bahdi's counter shots. Sylve was picking his spots perfectly and looking every bit the elite prospect he'd been touted as.
The knockout came out of nowhere and will likely be a knockout of the year contender, as Bahdi improves to 17-0 and Sylve suffers his first career defeat. Sylve had outlanded Bahdi 101-39 before the knockout.
Ashton "H2O" Sylve vs Lucas Bahdi: Round 6
Sylve putting the pressure on to start round six, gets tagged a couple times coming in but lands some real nice shots as he ups the output on Bahdi. Bahdi has been in the same gear all fight long, despite his corner now urging him to pick it up. Out of nowhere Bahdi knocks Sylve out cold! WOW! Bahdi looked fully out of it, uninspired, but out of thin air he lands clean on Sylve and puts him down face first. Bahdi hands Sylve his first loss.
Ashton "H2O" Sylve vs Lucas Bahdi: Round 5
Despite being 10 years younger, Sylve looks the far more experienced and comfortable fighter in there. A stoppage certainly could be in the cards if Sylve steps on the gas. More of the same in round five as Sylve is controlling the pace of the fight, maintaining his distance and connecting efficiently when he steps into range.
Ashton "H2O" Sylve vs Lucas Bahdi: Round 4
Sylve pushing the pace to open round four, using his reach to avoid Bahdi's shots while connecting frequently. "H2O" picking his spots to step into to range, unloading a few shots before stepping back out of range. Bahdi still hasn't upped his output despite losing every round so far; he's landing on occasion on the inside but nothing that's fazed Sylve.
Ashton "H2O" Sylve vs Lucas Bahdi: Round 3
Sylve looking really comfortable so far, Bahdi hasn't been able to get to him and he's landing on almost every combination he throws. In the final minute Sylve catches Bahdi with a counter right hand on the temple that shakes him. Sylve sticking and moving well in this one.

Bahdi is fighting patiently, not much output from him so far, while Sylve is picking his spots to get inside and unload. Not much coming from Sylve this round either, but when he throws combinations they've been effective. Two good rounds to start from Sylve.
Ashton "H2O" Sylve vs Lucas Bahdi: Round 1
"H2O" is MVP's best prospect and looks to have a real future at lightweight, but Bahdi represents a test as the first undefeated fighter Sylve's faced. Sylve applying the pressure in the opening round, walking Bahdi down and landing some solid shots when he gets at close range.
Corey Marksman defeats Tony Aguilar on the cards
Corey Marksman defeated Tony Aguilar by majority decision, avenging a February draw against Aguilar and improving to 10-0-1. The judges' scorecards were a 76-76 draw, then 77-75 and 78-74 for Marksman.
While Aguilar tried to fight on the inside and make Marksman uncomfortable, Marksman did well throughout to keep a little distance and outbox his opponent. Aguilar looked as though he was coming on in the middle rounds, taking a step back and finding success on the back foot, but Marksman finished the fight strong to secure a win in the rematch.
Tony Aguilar vs Corey Marksman: Round 8
Final round and a good round from Marksman should secure it for him. Aguilar outlanding Marksman 27-24 through seven, but Marksman has landed the stronger shots in this one. Both fighters land throughout the final round, but neither fighter shaking the other. Good action fight, Marksman should take it, avenging February's draw.

Marksman with a real strong start to the round, landing a number of nice shots on the back foot. Marksman finding lots of holes as Aguilar pushes to get inside. Aguilar has landed some nice shots this round, but he's gotten tagged up in the process. Good round for Marksman after Aguilar looked to be coming on in the last two.
Tony Aguilar vs Corey Marksman: Round 6
Both fighters come out swinging to start round six. Aguilar back to applying the pressure, but much more methodical in his attack than before. Aguilar still letting Marksman come at him, as he did last round. Close round, Aguilar looked strong again but Marksman was much improved from round five.

Aguilar keeping more distance this round and looks a lot better, letting Marksman come to him. Fight still being fought at a close range, but by fighting on the back foot Aguilar seems to be finding holes in Marksman much easier. Aguilar's best round of the fight.

Marksman willing to trade on the inside, but he's been very smart about how long he stays at that range. Aguilar just hasn't been able to get inside much so far, and when he does get inside he's struggled to land significant shots. Aguilar not out of the fight by any means, but it's been a good start to the fight from Marksman.

Marksman has a 33-20 connect advantage after two. In the opening minute Marksman catches Aguilar and swarms him, landing a number of nice shots. Aguilar catches him with a shot right after though. Aguilar trying to make this messy on the inside, but Marksman doing well to keep his distance, clinching when necessary.

Aguilar finding success this round fighting on the counter, landing some nice jabs and right hooks. Aguilar bleeding from the nose this round. Aguilar wants to fight this at close range, but Marksman doing well to keep a little distance. Marksman finishes a good round with a clean body shot in the final seconds.

This is a rematch after the fighters fought to a split decision draw in February. That fight was a six rounder while this fight is scheduled for eight rounds. Both fighters active and looking sharp in the opening round. Aguilar and Marksman each landed their fair share as the majority of the round was spent at close range.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. defeats Uriah Hall
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. defeated Uriah Hall by unanimous decision in Saturday's pay-per-view opener. The judges' scorecards were 59-55, 59-55 and 58-56 all for Chavez Jr.
Chavez Jr. started the fight moving around the ring to avoid Hall's pressure and boxing on the back foot, taking the early rounds. Hall began to come on in the second half of the fight, with his pressure resulting in more significant connects, but throughout the bout Chavez Jr. continued connecting on the back foot, targeting Hall's body in what was a messy fight.
Chavez Jr. outlanded Hall 68-58 in the six rounder.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs Uriah Hall: Round 6
Hall outlanded Chavez Jr. 13-9 in round five, a strong finish here could secure him the fight. Not much action this final round, Hall pressuring but not landing much. Chavez Jr. counterpunching well but not much output from him despite the fight being up in the air. Hall lands some strong shots in the final minute, close round to finish a close fight.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs Uriah Hall: Round 5
The penultimate round and depending on the judges' scorecards the fight may be tied, although Chavez Jr. has done the better work overall and should be leading. Chavez Jr. has been solid defensively so far, although Hall hasn't tested him too much. Chavez Jr. looking tired as the round goes on, Hall doing well to capitalize at close range. Both fighters unload at the end of the round, solid round for Hall.

Chavez Jr. still finding success with the left hook, as well as down to the body of Hall. Chavez Jr. keeps landing body shots, those may play a factor later in the fight. Hall has been catching Chavez Jr. with combinations on occasion, but never piles on the pressure.

Hall walking Chavez Jr. down, having some success early in the round. Chavez Jr.'s movement has largely negated Hall's pressure so far but Hall's having a better round thus far. Hall has one professional fight, against former NFL star Le'Veon Bell, while Chavez Jr. is former world champion. Feeling out round so far, Chavez Jr landed a nice hook that pushed Hall back early on. Not much action this round, Chavez landed a few left hooks that should secure him the round.
Logan Paul in locker room ahead of Jake Paul fight
Logan Paul, Jake's brother, was shown backstage with the rest of his family as Jake prepares for his main event cruiserweight fight against BKFC's Mike Perry tonight.
Logan has plenty of his own experience in the ring. Both brothers made their boxing debut on the same card in 2018 and Logan went on to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition in 2021. Jake is following suit later this year with his own matchup against boxing royalty, as he takes on Mike Tyson in November.

Amanda Serrano vs. Stevie Morgan fight
The co-main event of Paul vs. Perry will see MVP's most accomplished fighter, Amanda Serrano, take on Stevie Morgan ahead of her highly anticipated rematch against Katie Taylor in November. Originally Taylor-Serrano II was scheduled for this weekend as the co-main event to Tyson vs. Paul, but with that fight being postponed, it made sense that the chief support would be pushed back as well.
In the meantime, Serrano will take a soft touch to stay fresh. Her opponent Morgan has won six straight fights by first round stoppage, but those fights did all come against low-level opponents in Colombia. Morgan has fought 10 times since the start of 2023 though.
Serrano is a unified featherweight champion and will be moving up to 140 pounds for this fight, just the third time in her career she's done so with the undisputed 140-pound title fight against Taylor looming.

Jake Paul vs Mike Perry fight pick, predictions
Besides a one-off fight almost a decade ago, which Perry lost, he has no real boxing experience while Paul has been consistently training in the sport for years now. Perry's best chance of winning likely comes on the inside; if he can get inside on Paul and unleash his power then Paul could find himself in trouble.
But Paul will likely be too smart to allow that to happen. While not the best boxer, Paul does have a good ring IQ and the smart gameplan for him will be to use his advantages in size and reach to keep Perry at a distance. Paul has also shown real one-punch knockout power, while we've never seen how Perry's power will translate with gloves on.
It's possible Paul doesn't want to take any risks with the Tyson fight looming and boxes his way to a comfortable decision on the cards, but if he wants to go for it, I could see Paul catching Perry with his guard down later in the fight and putting him down for the count.
